1. Personal Information We Collect and Use

We collect information you actively provide or generate during your use of the Product to provide and optimize our services and ensure your account security:

1.1 Registration and Use: We may collect your network identity information, device information, and phone number to identify you as a Product user.

1.2 Product Usage: We collect log information, such as login logs, item logs, and operation information, to enable you to view your history and for customer service and security analysis. We may synchronize this information to future versions of the Product to enhance your experience.

1.3 Basic Functionality and Security: We collect device information (name, type, version, model, Android ID, system version, IP address, identifiers like IMEI, IMSI, MAC address), application ID, Cell ID, and network type to ensure normal Product use, maintain functionality, optimize performance, enhance your experience, and protect your account.

1.4 User Interactions: We may collect and store text, images, voice, and other content you send to other players to filter inappropriate content and maintain a healthy online environment.

1.5 Media and Interactions: With your consent, we may access your photos or storage to provide features like screenshots, image uploads, and voice chat. You can refuse or revoke these permissions, which may limit certain features but not your overall use of the Product.

1.6 Email Communication: With your consent, we may use your email address for notifications about events and to respond to your inquiries.

1.7 Customer Service: When you contact customer service, we may need personal information for verification and to address your requests. With your authorization, our staff may access your information within the authorized scope. We take measures to protect your information and use it only as necessary. We may also retain your contact information, communication records, and other information to provide and document customer service.

1.8 Product Analysis: We analyze usage patterns, error information, and performance data to ensure service security and optimize the Product. This information is anonymized or de-identified before analysis and is not combined with your personal identity information.

1.9 New Features: If we collect your information for new features or services not mentioned above, we will inform you through page prompts, interactive processes, or website announcements to obtain your consent.

1.10 Third-Party Information: Currently, we do not actively collect your personal information from third parties, except for survey information from research agencies to improve our products and services, and as otherwise stated in this Policy. If we need to indirectly obtain and process your personal information from third parties in the future, we will comply with relevant laws and regulations, require the third party to obtain your consent, and ensure the legality of the information provided.  

2. Personal Information Sharing, Transfer, and Public Disclosure

2.1 Personal Information Sharing

We will not share your personal information with third parties without your consent, except as provided in this Policy or the MIDDLEGO Go User Agreement. If we need to share your information or you request us to share it with a third party for purposes beyond the original authorization, we will obtain your explicit consent directly or indirectly through the third party.

To enhance our security management and technological research capabilities, promote service security and technological advancements, and provide better services, we may share de-identified or anonymized data with research institutions, scientific research institutes, universities, and other organizations within a reasonable and necessary scope, ensuring legitimate purposes and data security. We will not share information that can be used to identify you personally without your explicit authorization.

2.2 Public Disclosure of Personal Information

We will not publicly disclose the collected personal information except as provided in this Policy or as necessary for the Product’s basic functions and services. If public disclosure is necessary, we will inform you of the purpose, type of information disclosed, and any sensitive personal information involved, and obtain your explicit consent.

Please note that if you violate the MIDDLEGO Go User Agreement or engage in any illegal or prohibited activities while using the Product, we may announce the handling results and disclose relevant account information in the announcement.

2.3 Transfer of Personal Information

We will not transfer your personal information to third parties without your authorization. As our business continues to develop, we may engage in mergers, acquisitions, asset transfers, or other transactions. In such cases, we will inform you of the relevant circumstances and continue to protect or require the new processor to protect your personal information in accordance with laws and regulations and standards no lower than those required by this Policy.  

3. Storage of Personal Information

3.1 Storage Methods and Period

We store your information securely, including local storage (e.g., using the APP for data caching), databases, and server logs. Generally, we will only store your personal information for the time necessary to achieve the service purposes or as required by laws and regulations. After the aforementioned period expires, we will delete or anonymize your personal information. We determine the storage period of personal information mainly based on the following criteria, and the longer one shall prevail:  

  1. Completion of the business functions you have agreed to use;
  2. Ensuring the security and quality of the services we provide to you;
  3. A longer retention period agreed to by you;
  4. Whether there are other provisions on the retention period.

3.2 Storage Location

We will store the personal information of users collected within the territory of China within the territory of China in accordance with laws and regulations.

3.3 Notification of Product or Service Termination

When our products or services cease to operate, we will make an announcement and notification in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, and protect your legitimate rights and interests in accordance with the law.  

4. Information Security

4.1 Security Protection Measures

We strive to protect the security of user information to prevent information leakage, loss, misuse, unauthorized access, and disclosure. We use a variety of security protection measures to ensure that the protection of users’ personal information is at a reasonable security level, including technical protection measures, management system control, and security system guarantee. We adopt industry-leading technical protection measures. The technical means we use include but are not limited to firewalls, encryption, de-identification or anonymization processing, and access control measures. In addition, we will continue to strengthen the security capabilities of the software installed on your device. For example, we will complete part of the information encryption work locally on your device to consolidate secure transmission; we will understand the application information installed on your device and the running process information to prevent viruses, Trojans and other malicious programs. We have established a special management system, process and organization to protect personal information security. For example, we strictly limit the scope of personnel who access information, require them to abide by confidentiality obligations and conduct audits, and violators will be punished according to regulations. We will also review the management system, processes and organization to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing, using or disclosing user information without authorization. We recommend that you pay full attention to the protection of personal information when using products and services, and we will also provide a variety of security functions to assist you in protecting your own personal information security.  

4.2 Security Incident Handling Measures

In the event of a security incident such as the leakage of personal information, we will activate the emergency plan to prevent the security incident from expanding. After the security incident occurs, we will inform you of the basic situation of the security incident, the disposal measures and remedial measures that we are about to or have taken, and our response suggestions to you in the form of announcements, push notifications or emails. If it is difficult to inform one by one, we will issue a warning through announcements and other means.  

5. Your Rights

During your use of the Product, we may provide you with corresponding operation settings so that you can inquire, copy, correct, supplement, delete or withdraw your relevant personal information. You can refer to the specific instructions in the Product for operation. In addition, we have also set up complaint and reporting channels, and your opinions will be dealt with in a timely manner.  

5.1 Personal Information Inquiry and Correction

If you have other needs for personal information inquiry, copying, correction, and supplementation. You can also contact us through the contact information described in Article 9 of this Guide. But please note that when you contact us to apply for a personal information rights response, in order to protect account and personal information security, we may verify your identity, account security status, etc. We will try our best to support your reasonable requests. However, we may not be able to respond to your application incases where it exceeds our personal information storage scope, exceeds a reasonable limit, or responding to your request will cause serious damage to your or other third parties’ legitimate rights and interests.

5.2 Personal Information Display and Sharing

  1. Your account basic information (username, avatar, certified title, game record, etc.) will be displayed on your personal homepage or in the relevant functions you participate in.
  2. The information generated during your use of this product (specifically including but not limited to daily rankings, weekly rankings, monthly rankings, etc.) will be displayed to you or other users according to your choice.
  3. The information you upload or publish in this product, or the information you choose to share externally, will be displayed to users within the scope you choose to publish or share.
  4. When you authorize a third party to obtain your information in this product, the third party will disclose your relevant information to you or other users of the third party within the scope of your authorization. Please pay attention to the rules of the third-party platform for the specific display rules and the way to set the public scope.  

5.3 Change of Personal Information Collection and Use Authorization

You can change the authorization for us to collect and use your personal information by deleting information, turning specific product functions on or off, or turning on or off device permissions obtained by specific products (the specific permissions vary depending on the user’s device model and system version).

After withdrawing the authorization, the product function corresponding to the authorization may not be used, but it will not affect the use of other functions. However, your withdrawal of authorization does not affect the effectiveness of personal information processing activities that have been carried out based on your authorization before the withdrawal.

The collection and use of some personal information corresponds to the basic functions of our service. If you wish to withdraw the authorization for the collection and use of relevant personal information, it may result in our inability to provide you with services. In this case, if you still wish to withdraw the relevant authorization, you can achieve this requirement by applying for account cancellation. For example, based on the requirements of laws and regulations, real-name authentication must be carried out to use this product. If you wish to withdraw the authorization for us to collect real-name authentication information and request us to delete your real-name authentication information, we may not be able to continue to provide you with the basic services of this product.  

5.5 Account Cancellation

You can apply for account cancellation in this product “Settings-Account Cancellation”. When you apply for account cancellation, we will verify your identity, account security status, and cancellation conditions. Please carefully read the instructions in the product cancellation process. After the account cancellation is completed, except as otherwise stipulated by laws and regulations or this agreement, your personal information under the account will be deleted or anonymized, and the related products and services that have been associated with the account will no longer be associated. Once the account is cancelled, it cannot be recovered, please operate with caution.  

6. Changes

We may revise this Policy from time to time. When the personal information collection and use rules and other matters stipulated by laws and regulations described in this Guide change, we will prompt you to the revised Guide in an appropriate way when the version is updated. Please carefully read the revised privacy policy or the content of the guide. Your continued use of this product means that you agree to our collection, processing or use of your personal information in accordance with the updated privacy policy.  

7. Protection of Minors

We attach great importance to the protection of minors’ personal information, and continue to explore better ways to protect minors’ personal information.  

If you are the legal guardian of a minor, please pay attention to whether the minor you supervise is using this product or providing his/her personal information after obtaining your authorization and consent. We will actively protect the legitimate rights and interests of minors by enabling the minor protection mode in accordance with the requirements of the state for the protection of minors. We will verify and judge whether the real-name information of the relevant account is a minor, and then decide whether to take minor protection measures such as restricting some product functions for the relevant account, and guide minors to use this product reasonably.
